In their site-specific dance performance, bucking&kröger dedicate themselves to the inherent contradictions of urbanism, yoga & mindfulness trends. Within the smallest possible space in the heart of Kreuzberg, a hermetic world of exercises is created that borrows from religious exercise, yoga, meditation and mindfulness training as a reflection upon urban life caught up in the tension between acceleration, self-optimization and the desire for spirituality.

bücking&kröger
bücking&kröger is the union of the two dancer-choreographers* Florian Bücking and Raisa Kröger and the production dramaturg Johanna Withelm. After a ten-year career as dancers* and dance creators in and outside of Berlin’s dance community, bücking&kröger was founded in 2014 in order to combine the numerous experiences and approaches of their respective professional careers and to work together in choreography. As a creatively working association, they have since then been dealing with dance, architecture/visual arts and performance in the broadest sense. The company’s works are characterized by their clear focus on the body and the conditions associated with movement and are often created in collaboration with artists from other fields, such as the visual arts and music.
